We've seen many LinkedIn profile photos of middle-aged executives and most look quite serious and formal. While there is (was) a time and place for that, most would perhaps agree that we like to do business with people who have a pleasing personality.
Our client below distributes health products and has lost a significant amount of weight because of them. The weight loss was for health reasons so it was all good. He wanted to update his profile photo and show people the weight loss. On our part, we got to know him more during the pre-shoot conversation and that he was a pleasant man to deal with.
In our headshot sessions, we take time to talk to our client to find out more about them and what they do. This conversation helps us understand and more importantly, appreciate their personality and the customers of their business.
In photographing middle-aged men, we found this pre-shoot conversation particularly crucial and this situation was no exception. We wanted to break the cliche that middle-aged men are grumpy. Now, who would not want to buy the products from such a kind gentleman? We, together with our client, loved the result of this photo.
