Headshots For Actors Needing Headshots

Identity Headshots' services are geared towards corporate and business, but our training was based on taking headshots of actors. In 2014, Identity Headshots' photographer, Allan, was trained by the father of modern headshots himself, Peter Hurley. Back then, actors' headshots were all the rage. Peter personally taught Allan and 19 other headshot photographers worldwide the techniques of creating headshots for aspiring actors. 

Most of his fellow trainees were from the USA and UK, where the entertainment industry is already a mature market. So, the demand for aspiring actors was aplenty. However, it is a small market for New Zealand and Australia. So Allan pivoted towards providing headshots for the corporate and business market. He never forgot his roots, though. 

With New Zealand slowly becoming a destination for Hollywood production companies, Identity Headshots has been getting its fair share of aspiring actors and performing artists. The process is still the same, but the output differs because it should fit your industry's purpose. We can vary the lighting to suit your preference - from our standard headshot lighting to a more creative cinematic lighting like the one above.

Allan is one of Peter Hurley's Associate Photographers—the only one in New Zealand and the first in Australasia. He has passed Peter's stringent quality standards to become an Associate, which means the quality of our headshots is world-class.
